Ah, the Healing Cypher. What an incredible adventure of 6ish months it was making this.
I kept postponing the deadline, wondering why my tracks and my life weren’t as “healing” as I wanted them to be…
But maybe healing is not always as relaxing, blissful, or enjoyable as I expect.
Maybe I was healing the whole time and didn’t know it.

Or maybe the healing process is only beginning now that the Healing Cypher is done.
Maybe it needed to be finished before it could begin to heal anyone.

Healing, you say?
But when?
It hurt. But,
Did it work?
If it worked,
then it was worth it.
If it was worth it,
then it all worked out.

BangerSound Cyphers Vol. 43 "The Healing Cypher" was an online music production / beat-making cypher challenge that happened in February - September 2023, open to any artists that decided to join in. Together we built a sample pack for everyone to use, and all participating artists made their own tracks using those sounds. Teaganbear then mixed the submissions into this mixtape, using Ableton and the original APC40. I hope you enjoy the adventure that is BSC43 The Healing Cypher. :)
